Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska has reached the semifinals of the WTA 500 tournament in Linz, Austria. In the third round, she defeated Maria Sakkari with a score of 7:5, 6:0.
This was the second meeting between the rivals. In 2024, the Ukrainian lost to the Greek representative in the 1/16 finals of the thousand in Miami.
This is Yastremska's first semifinal since the Australian Open 2024 and already the 21st of her career. Her next opponent will be the winner of the match between Clara Tauson and Anna Blinkova. Both have already defeated Ukrainian tennis players in Linz.
Ludmila and Nadia Kichenok are also continuing to compete in the doubles category at the tournament.
