Gasoline may decrease in price by 4 hryvnias: expert named the reason.

Starting from May 1, fuel prices for Ukrainians will change. According to new requirements, gasoline must contain at least 5% bioethanol. This will lead to an increase in gasoline costs for consumers. Compared to many other countries where more concentrated bioethanol is used, Ukraine has a lower consumption volume.
Considering these requirements, suppliers will have to undergo additional technological processes, which will lead to an increase in fuel prices by 50 kopecks per liter. However, the cost of bioethanol itself is not critical, so it will almost not affect gas station prices.
The forecast shows that in May fuel prices will decrease for both gasoline and diesel. The main factor for the decline is the drop in global oil prices. An increase in supply with stable demand will lead to a decrease in oil prices.
Currently, the average price at gas stations is 54.80 hryvnias per liter of gasoline, 53.50 hryvnias per liter of diesel, and 35.30 hryvnias per liter of automotive gas. It is forecasted that fuel prices will decrease by approximately 2-4 hryvnias per liter. However, the National Bank predicts stable fuel prices throughout the year without significant changes.
