Soybean and Rapeseed Prices — Why the Crops Will Increase in Price Soon.


The prices of soybeans and rapeseed may significantly rise due to the introduction of a 10% export duty. Therefore, Ukrainian agrarians are rushing to sell their products abroad.

What to Expect with Soybean and Rapeseed Prices
Currently, agrarians are trying to export the contracted volumes of products quickly to avoid the duty, explained Ivan Tomych, head of the Ukrainian Peasantry Union, in a comment for Novyny.LIVE.
'Therefore, soybean exports in the first 10 days of July increased by a third compared to early June. At that Time, around 100 thousand tons were sent abroad,' noted Ivan Tomych.
According to the expert, both soybeans and rapeseed could become more expensive.
'If such duties are introduced, the prices of these crops will significantly rise,' he emphasized.
What Else Is Important to Know
It is worth recalling that the Ukrainian parliament passed bill No. 13157 on July 16, 2025, and supported the establishment of a 10% duty on the export of soybeans and rapeseed starting from August 1. Now large exporters of these crops must pay an additional 10% of the customs value of the product if the bill is signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
