People's Deputy Fedir Venislavskyi explained that the abolition of martial law in Ukraine will not lead to the automatic release of servicemen. He stated that this should be honestly communicated to the citizens of Ukraine and to the servicemen. According to the mobilization law, the decision on demobilization is made by the president and requires the approval of the Verkhovna Rada. Fedir Venislavskyi also emphasized that the decision on demobilization must be made separately from the decision on the cessation of martial law.
Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk reported that Ukrainian servicemen who have been fighting against the Russian Federation since 2022 are planned to be gradually withdrawn from the front. To do this, there needs to be sufficient human resources for training and replacing units.
