President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed concern over the crisis state of diplomacy caused by Russia's refusal to accept peace initiatives and called for increased pressure on the aggressor following the night attack.

In his social media post, the head of state noted that 'Russia ignores any diplomatic proposals from the international community' and that 'Putin openly rejected every peace initiative.'

Zelensky reported that last night Russia carried out a large-scale attack on civilian infrastructure and residential buildings, using 440 Iranian 'Shaheds' and 32 missiles, including ballistic ones.

According to Zelensky, this is the only concrete change in Russia's behavior after the arrival of the new U.S. president. The president emphasized that 'it was the U.S. and President Trump who proposed a ceasefire, renewed diplomacy, immediate meetings, and negotiations', but 'Russia systematically blocked all efforts.'

Diplomatic Talks and Support from the Canadian Prime Minister

During a meeting with the Canadian prime minister, the parties discussed further cooperation with partners in NATO, G7, and the coalition of the willing, strengthening Ukraine's air defense, and developing military cooperation.
