Export of cereals and oilseeds: forecasts for the new season.

Ukraine plans to export 46.9 million tons of cereals and oilseed crops in the upcoming marketing year. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
According to the data from projected supply and demand balances, the share of cereal exports will amount to 40.3 million tons, which makes up 66.7% of the total volume, and 6.6 million tons of oilseed crops.
The exported cereals include wheat (16.2 million tons), barley (2.9 million tons), corn (20.5 million tons), and other cereals and legumes (0.7 million tons).
Regarding oilseed crops, it is planned to export 3.7 million tons of soybeans and 2.9 million tons of rapeseed.
Most sunflower seeds (99.5% of the total supply) will be processed in the domestic market, and sunflower oil production is expected to be at the level of 4.9 million tons.
The Ministry emphasizes that even amid aggression from the Russian Federation, Ukraine remains a leading producer and supplier of certain types of agricultural products, particularly cereals, oilseeds, and fruits. The agrarian sector not only ensures domestic food security but also provides raw materials for processing.
