Financial Times: The West and Ukraine agreed on a historic compromise with Russia.


Western countries and Ukraine have reached a preliminary agreement for the first Time on key security issues in eastern Ukraine. This agreement could prove to be a turning point in the protracted conflict.
This is reported by the authoritative publication Financial Times.
The main provisions of the agreement involve providing Ukraine with security guarantees from Western partners in exchange for temporarily maintaining Russian control over the occupied territories. It is expected that the return of these territories will be negotiated diplomatically in the future.
As part of the agreement, Ukraine commits to establish a defensive border and not permanently deploy troops and nuclear weapons unless there is a threat of invasion.
Earlier, the media reported that the West was pressuring Zelensky due to the prolonged war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has outlined the conditions for a truce with Russia to which Ukraine will never agree.
