North Korean leader Kim Jong Un informed the Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu that he is willing to continue helping Russia in its war against Ukraine. This was reported by the North Korean state news agency KCNA.
Kim Jong Un emphasized that Pyongyang will continue to support Russia in its fight against Ukraine, which was initiated by Moscow. 'The steadfast support for Russia in defending its national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security interests will remain the choice and resolute will of the DPRK government in the future,' the report states.
The leaders of North Korea and Russia also agreed to implement the provisions of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which was signed last year. They discussed 'promising projects for further expansion and activation of exchanges and cooperation in the field of security and other areas.'
For his part, Shoigu expressed gratitude to Kim for his support and solidarity regarding the 'Ukrainian issue.' He emphasized that Russia values the level of strategic relations between the two countries and is geared towards further deepening them.
Earlier, the USA, Ukraine, and Russia agreed on the framework of an agreement to settle the war.
