April surprises: the fourth day in a row Ukraine is covered with snow (photo).


Snowfalls have covered parts of Ukraine. Streets, rooftops, and trees in the Vinnytsia region have turned white from the snow. Snow has been falling across the country since April 6 and is increasing each day.
In the city of Bar in Vinnytsia region, roads have become dangerous due to icing. The Vinnytsia regional hydro meteorological center warns of severe frosts. Meteorologists are also asking drivers to be more careful on slippery roads, and gardeners to protect their plants.
Ukraine is once again under the influence of winter. Snow has fallen in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Lviv, and Khmelnytsky regions. Chernihiv region has also experienced an unexpected snow cover. According to forecasts, from April 13, air temperature will begin to rise. By April 17, temperatures are expected to reach +20º C during the day and +13º C at night.
Severe weather has led to the freezing of fruit trees, potatoes, onions, and grain crops. The Ukrainian Hydro Meteorological Center explained the reasons for the sharp cooling and identified the most vulnerable crops.
