The Ministry of Defense has strengthened the requirements for the quality of products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has strengthened the requirements for the quality of certain food products used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This concerns poultry meat, fish, and dairy products.
Cases have been identified where suppliers provide the military with frozen chicken with a high moisture content. Accordingly, the Ministry of Defense has established requirements for the mass fraction of moisture in frozen poultry after defrosting, as well as for the mass fraction of glaze in frozen fish.
The supply of military dairy and fermented milk products made from milk other than cow or sheep milk is also prohibited.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov approved the relevant changes to the "Description of Products by the Food Products Catalog".
"We strive to provide our servicemen not only with sufficient quantities of food products but also to guarantee their quality and safety. Improving nutritional requirements is an important step towards raising the standards of supply for our military," noted Dmytro Klimenkov.
