Frosts down to -8, ice, snow and rain: forecasters warned of worsening weather.


Weather in Ukraine at the beginning of the week
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, a sharp change in weather is expected in Ukraine at the beginning of the week. On Monday, March 17, there will be variable cloudiness in the country, but weather conditions will vary in different regions.
In the southern and eastern coastal areas, light rain is possible overnight. During the day in the western, northern, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy regions, light wet snow is possible. No precipitation is expected in other areas.
According to forecasts, cooler weather will be in the western, northern, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Poltava regions on Monday. Here, nighttime temperatures will range from -3 to -8 degrees, while during the day temperatures are expected to rise from -1 degree to +4 degrees, with light wet snow possible in some places. In the rest of the territory, daytime temperatures are expected to be +2 to +7 degrees and +8 to +13 degrees in the southeastern regions.
In the western regions, there is a risk of ice on the roads. The wind will be mainly northwestern, moderate, with a speed of 7-12 m/s. In the western and northern regions, gusts of wind up to 15-20 m/s are possible.
In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, a cloudless night is forecast with temperatures ranging from -3 to -8 degrees (in the capital -3 to -5 degrees). During the day, warming to +1 to +3 degrees is expected in Kyiv and from -1 degree to +4 degrees in the region, with light wet snow possible.
Forecasters warn of the return of true winter.
