Searches took place at the Odesa customs - there are already the first detainees.

In Odesa region, several customs officials were discovered who were receiving bribes for exporting goods without paying taxes. Violations were identified during searches conducted in three regions of Ukraine: Odesa, Volyn, and Chernivtsi.

Searches in Odesa region

During a special operation in Odesa, four officials from the anti-smuggling department of the local customs were found. They demanded bribes for the illegal export of goods from Ukraine. Searches were also conducted on officials of one of the customs posts in Odesa region who received bribes for processing goods without paying the necessary fees. Law enforcement is resolving the issue regarding the qualification of the actions of the figures involved.

It should be noted that earlier it was reported on schemes of making money from non-existing servicemen in Odesa region, as well as on searches in an Odesa company.

Law enforcement is investigating the situation and resolving the issue regarding the possible qualification of the actions of the officials. It should be noted that this is not the first case of corruption among customs officers in Odesa region, and earlier other violations and schemes in this field have also been uncovered.
