An explosion occurred at a training ground in Slovakia, there are casualties.


As a result of the explosion during tests at the Military Technical and Test Institute at the Zahorie training ground in Slovakia, two people were injured. According to Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kalinak, the cause of the incident may be a malfunction of the artillery shells, ammunition, or the weapon system itself. He also noted that foreign interference is unlikely.
According to the publication Noviny, the explosion occurred on one of the new howitzers of the self-propelled artillery system Zuzana 2, which Slovakia ordered from Ukraine earlier this year.
Nationalist politician Andrej Danko demands the return of 3.5 billion euros that Slovakia provided to Ukraine as aid.
Earlier this year, Slovakia deported a Ukrainian citizen due to his connection with Ukrainian intelligence services, but no official evidence of this fact was provided.
