The Ukrainian Film Academy has announced the winners of the VIII National Film Award "Golden Dziga".The film "20 Days in Mariupol" by Mstislav Chernov was recognized as the winner in two categories, and the film "La Palisiada" by Philip Sotnichenko became the leader in the number of nominations.
The winners in various categories were:
Best Film - "20 Days in Mariupol" directed by Mstislav Chernov.The film also received an award in the category "Best Documentary Film".
Best Short Fiction Film (named after Yu.A.Minzianov) - "Alive" directed by Vladlen Odudenko.
Best Short Documentary Film - "Chernobyl 22" directed by Alexei Radinsky.
Best Animated Film - "Mariupol.One Hundred Nights" directed by Sofia Melnik.
Best Series - "The Carrier" directed by Evgeny Tunik.
Best Directing Work (named after Yu.G.Illenko) - "La Palisiada" directed by Philip Sotnichenko.
Best Music - "Dovbush" (Alla Zagaykevich, Alexander Cherny).
Best Cinematography - "Dovbush" (Sergei Mikhalkovich).
Best Actor - "La Palisiada" (Novruz Pashayev).
Best Actress - "How is Katya?" (Anastasia Karpenko).
Best Supporting Actor - "Dovbush" (Alexey Gnatkovsky).
Best Supporting Actress - "La Palisiada" (Elena Mamchur).
Best Production Design - "Dovbush" (Yuri Grigorovich, Alexandra Drobot).
Best Screenplay - "La Palisiada" (Philip Sotnichenko).
Best Makeup - "Dovbush" (Irina Solodovskaya).
Best Costume Design - "Dovbush" (Gala Otenko, Maria Kero).
Best Sound - "La Palisiada" (Sergei Avdeev).
Best Editing - "La Palisiada" (Philip Sotnichenko).
Best Special Effects - "La Palisiada" (Alexei Kudima).
Best Song - "Turtle Aha" from the film "La Palisiada" (author of music and lyrics Hanna Chubach).
The "Golden Dziga" award for contribution to the development of Ukrainian cinematography was received by film critic Sergey Trymbach.
In general, the "Golden Dziga" Film Award was presented in 22 categories.
