Enemy Offensive on Toretsk and Pokrovsk and Success of AFU in Kursk Region - ISW Report.


Russian forces continue to attack Pokrovsk and Toretsk, attempting to capture these important areas. The fighting continues and the situation remains tense, with numerous attempts by the enemy to increase their activity. Information about the situation on the front was published in the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
AFU Operation in Russia
Ukrainian forces recently continued their campaign in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region. Geolocation images from September 29 show the advancement of AFU to the west and northwest of Vesely (south of Glushkovo) and, likely, the capture of the northwestern part of the settlement.
According to Ukrainian military expert Konstantin Mashovets, Russian forces in the Kursk region range from 40,000 to 41,000 servicemen and plan to deploy another 6,000 people there.
East Ukraine. Operation №1 - Kharkiv region
On September 29, Russian invaders continued their offensive operation in the north of the Kharkiv region but did not make significant progress.
On September 28 and 29, Russian forces attacked in the area of Gubokoye, near Volchansk and Tikhoye. In the Kharkiv group of the AFU, it was reported that the Russian occupiers strengthened their units operating near Gubokoye and transferred additional forces to Volchansk to compensate for losses.
Operation №2 - Luhansk region
On September 29, Russian occupiers continued their offensive along the Kupyansk-Svatovo-Kreminna line but did not make confirmed progress.
On September 28, the Russian military claimed they had already reached the southern outskirts of Andriivka, and the Russian Ministry of Defense reported they had already captured Makiivka, but ISW did not confirm these reports.
Russian occupiers continue to attack near Synkivka, Kucherivka, Kruglyakivka, Lozova, Tabaivka, Vyshneve, Makiivka, Nevske, and Zarechne on September 28 and 29.
Operation №3 - Donetsk region
On September 28 and 29, Russian occupiers continued their offensive operation in the Siversky direction in the area of Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamyanske, and Vyimka, but did not make any confirmed changes on the front line.
On September 29, Russian forces attacked in the area of Chasovy Yar but did not make progress.
The General Staff of the AFU noted that Russian occupiers continue to assault Chasovy Yar, Kalynivka, Bila Hora, and Kurdyumivka.
On September 28 and 29, Russian occupiers attacked in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Myrolyubivka, Novotoretske, Mykolaivka, Hrodovka, Kruty Yar, Marynivka, Lysivka, Selydove, and Tsukurine.
Southern Axis
On September 28 and 29, Russian occupiers continued their offensive in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region, particularly near Robotyne and Kamianske, but did not make confirmed changes on the front line.
The General Staff of the AFU reported that on September 28 and 29, Russian forces advanced on the Dnipro (Kherson) direction but did not have any confirmed changes on the front line.
