Occupants may once again demolish the home of a veteran of the Crimean Tatar national movement.

The Russian troops surrounded Rustem Useinov, a veteran of the Crimean Tatar national movement, who lives in a trailer in the village of Qapsihor near Sudak. His home may be demolished. This was reported by the chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov.
Useinov built a house on the spot where the trailer now stands, but he did not have Time to register it before the Russian occupation of Crimea in 2014. In November 2021, the house was demolished by the Russians, but Useinov set up a trailer at this location, where he has been living permanently, to defend his rights.
«Judging by the number of equipment and armed people that the Russian occupants pulled up to the waterfront of the village of Qapsihor (Morske) on the morning of March 20, 2025, now the residential trailer will also be demolished,» he said.
Rustem Useinov, a veteran of the Crimean Tatar national movement, has been left without a home. He has been trying to legalize his land for twenty years, but the Sudak City Court, controlled by Russia, decided to demolish his house. Russian special forces with weapons demolished Useinov's house, disregarding his appeal to a higher court.
Useinov is not the only case where the Russian occupying authorities have seized property in Crimea. There is ample evidence showing the systematic nature of such policies. Russian occupants employ various methods, including the direct destruction of property on the grounds of its illegality.
It is worth recalling that Crimean political prisoner Rustem Viratti died in a Russian prison. He was accused of aiding the economic blockade of Crimea, which began in 2015, and participating in the Crimean Tatar battalion named after Noman Çelebicihan.
