Published schedule of the start of the heating season in Ukrainian cities.

This year, the heating season in Ukraine will begin on October 15, but in different cities, the dates may vary. In Kyiv, the start of heat supply is scheduled for October 14, but only to medical institutions, schools, kindergartens, and other social facilities. Residential buildings will be connected to heating only after the average daily temperature drops to 8 degrees and remains at this level for three days.
In other cities of Ukraine, the start dates of the heating season differ. In Kharkiv, heating will be turned on after October 15, in Zhytomyr - October 16, and in Zhytomyr region - November 1. In Chernihiv, the heating season will start on October 15, and in Mukachevo - October 21. In Lutsk, Rivne, and Dnipro, the exact dates have not yet been established, and the decision will depend on weather conditions.
Regarding tariffs for the 2024-2025 heating season, it should be noted that due to a moratorium on price increases that will be in effect until April 30, 2025, the cost of gas, hot water, and heating for the population of Ukraine will not change. Gas will cost 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter from "Naftogaz of Ukraine", and other suppliers offer prices from 7.70 to 9.99 hryvnias per cubic meter.
Electricity tariffs will remain stable. From October 1, most of the population will pay 4.32 UAH per kWh, and a preferential tariff of 2.64 UAH per kWh on the first 2000 kWh per month will be provided to electric boiler users, after which the standard tariff will apply.
