Pension payments: how much will Ukrainians with a salary of 20 thousand hryvnias receive.

Ukrainians with low salaries receive smaller pensions
In Ukraine, with a salary of 15 thousand UAH, one can expect a pension of 4.6 thousand UAH. Meanwhile, with a salary of 20 thousand UAH, one can receive a pension of 6.1 thousand UAH.
OBOZ.UA calculated the average size of future pensions, assuming 35 years of service. This is an approximate amount of the payment; to calculate the exact amount of the payment, it is necessary to compare the size of your own salary with the average salary on a monthly basis.
With a salary of 15 thousand UAH. With such a salary, a Ukrainian with 35 years of service can expect a pension of 4,608 UAH. This salary is lower than the average salary in the country according to the PFU data.
With a salary of 20 thousand UAH. This salary, assuming 35 years of service, allows one to receive a pension of 6,144.5 UAH.
With a salary of 30 thousand UAH. The pension for a Ukrainian with a salary of 30 thousand UAH will be significantly higher. The amount of the payment can reach about 9,216 UAH.
The average pension has increased over the last three months
The average pension in Ukraine has increased by about 73 UAH over the last three months, to 5,816 UAH. In January 2024, Ukrainians were receiving an average of 5,385 UAH. If we calculate the change in the pension amount for the entire period of the full-scale war, the payments have increased from 3,991 to 5,816 UAH. This is an average figure. The increase was at the level of 45.7%, while the cumulative level of inflation for this period was 35.5%. In other words, the increase in the average pension should have compensated for the rise in the cost of goods and services.
However, the minimum pension has increased from 1,934 to 2,361 UAH since January 2022. That is, by 22%. Therefore, the indexation of the minimum pension did not even allow compensation for inflation. And those who receive the minimum payment lost the most.
