PFC explained how periods from 1998 to 2024 are counted in the insurance record for retirement.

The Pension Fund explained how periods from 1998 to 2024 are counted towards insurance experience.
The press service of the Pension Fund in the Dnipropetrovsk region reported that all periods of employment before the introduction of the new law on social insurance are automatically counted towards the insurance record.
The law clearly defines which periods of work can be included in the insurance record for receiving benefits for temporary incapacity for work:
- periods of social insurance with premium payments;
- periods without premium payments (leave for child care, benefits for other types of social insurance);
- periods after 2016 when social insurance was not applicable, but contributions were paid.
Until 2011, only periods with actual premium payments were counted towards the insurance record.
Until December 31, 2010, the main document confirming the experience was the labor book, and all periods of work under an employment contract were counted.
From October 19, 1998, to December 31, 2010, the experience was calculated according to special Rules, which did not establish the procedure for considering work in other countries.
For the period before October 19, 1998, the experience was calculated according to Rules that determined the procedure for calculating continuous work for the purpose of assigning benefits.
Work abroad is counted towards the experience for payment of the sick leave certificate if provided for by international treaties ratified in Ukraine.
The Pension Fund explained the necessity of insurance experience for retirement.
