The Pension Fund has started paying pensions for June: who will receive an allowance for three months.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has started financing pension payments for June 2025, sending the first funds for payments to pensioners on June 2. This was reported by the Pension Fund's press service.

0.7 billion hryvnias were directed for pension payments through 'Ukrposhta'. Pension payments are usually made from the 4th to the 25th of each month. In cases where the established pension payment date falls on a holiday or weekend, the pension may be paid early, but within the established payment period.

This month, special attention has been given to working pensioners. In June, the Pension Fund will pay additional amounts to this category of pension recipients. Payments of recalculated pensions will be made taking into account the supplement for April and May, which is related to the deadlines for submitting payroll reports.

Average pension amounts in Ukraine

According to the Ministry of Social Policy, the recalculation of pensions this year will be carried out for 629 thousand working pensioners. However, judging by last year's figures, the increase after recalculation will be minimal. In 2024, the increase considering only insurance experience was 86.24 hryvnias, and taking into account insurance experience and salary - 168.65 hryvnias.

Among 10.3 million pensioners in Ukraine, 2.9 million continue to work, while the average amount of their payments is higher. According to the Pension Fund, in April 2025, the average pension amount in Ukraine was 6,341.11 hryvnias, while for working pensioners this figure reached 6,862.86 hryvnias.

Other areas of social security

In addition to pension payments, the Pension Fund is also actively working in other areas of social security. As of April 2, 168.5 million hryvnias were financed for sick leave payments. In April, the Pension Fund of Ukraine provided 102.2 thousand services to individuals seeking assistance.

Pension recipients have the option to receive payments through post office branches or to a bank account. The way to receive the payment is chosen by the recipient themselves, including any of the authorized banks.
