Putin will help Trump in negotiations with Iran, - Bloomberg.


Russia has agreed to assist the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump in communicating with Iran regarding the country's nuclear program and its support for anti-American forces in the region.
According to Bloomberg, Trump proposed this to Putin during a phone call, and his administration discussed this issue with Russian colleagues at a meeting in Saudi Arabia.
Moscow claims it is ready to help resolve relations between Iran and the U.S. through negotiations. Russia has offered its help, but the final decision on cooperation must be made by Iran and the United States themselves.
Trump is trying to restore ties with Putin after they were strained due to Russian aggression in Ukraine. Both sides are expressing a willingness to cooperate on other geopolitical issues.
High-ranking officials from the U.S. and Russia have discussed Washington's interest in cooperating with Moscow on Iranian matters. However, it is currently unknown how receptive Iran will be to any proposals made through Russia.
The Iranian leader has stated that trust in Trump cannot be established. The President of Iran supports the restoration of the nuclear deal but refuses negotiations while sanctions remain in effect.
The International Atomic Energy Agency has called on the U.S. and Iran to begin negotiations regarding the nuclear program.
Russia and Iran are strengthening cooperation, but it remains unclear how willing Iran will be to cooperate with the U.S. through Russia.
