Regions of Ukraine Will Receive Energy Passports: What Will Change.

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development has approved energy independence passports for all regions of Ukraine
The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, has approved energy independence passports for each region of Ukraine. This step is important for the effective development of distributed generation, particularly gas generation, which will strengthen energy resilience in all regions, the ministry reported.
'The energy passport of the region is a comprehensive assessment of the potential for the development of distributed generation in each specific region. The document enables regional administrations to develop detailed action plans, including for the development of distributed generation, taking into account the characteristics of each area,' the agency noted.
Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine - Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba stated that regional energy passports have become an important step toward the effective development of the energy sector, as they allow each region not only to assess its energy capabilities but also to develop development plans taking into account local features.
'This will help not only to enhance energy security but also to stimulate the economic development of regions through investment in renewable energy and infrastructure,' emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.
Energy independence passports help local government bodies to plan the development of energy projects in detail, particularly distributed generation. This is important for ensuring stable energy supply for communities and businesses.
By 2025, further growth in the construction of distributed generation is expected to meet the needs of communities.
