Russia plans to launch an intercontinental missile: intelligence reported details.

Russia intends to test the RS-24 intercontinental ballistic missile
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, on the night of May 18 to 19, Russia plans to test the RS-24 intercontinental ballistic missile from the 'YARS' complex. This launch is intended as a combat training exercise and is conducted to exert pressure on Ukraine, the EU, and NATO.
The missile will be launched from a mobile ground complex near the settlement of Svobodny in the Sverdlovsk region of Russia. The flight range of this missile exceeds 10,000 kilometers. The RS-24 is a modification of the 'Topol-M' missile and was developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering. Its weight is 49,000 kg.
In 2007, the first test launch of the RS-24 was carried out at the 'Plesetsk' site in the Arkhangelsk region of the Russian Federation towards the Kura test site (in the northern Kamchatka region). The deployment of this weapon was confirmed in 2010.
Recently, Russia tested the 'Oreshnik' missile over the Dnipro, resulting in damage to the 'Yuzhmash' enterprise. The missile launch took place from the 'Kapustin Yar' test site in the Astrakhan region. Vladimir Putin commented on this event by referring to a 'successful test' of new weaponry.
Experts believe that such actions by the Kremlin are aimed at demonstrating its nuclear capabilities, research from the Institute for the Study of War shows that with ballistic missiles and non-nuclear means, Russia attempts to portray itself positively on the world stage.
Ukrainian and international partners must be vigilant and cautious regarding Russia's aggressive actions on the international stage, which threaten stability and security in the region.
