Russian propagandists spread fake 'Ministry of Defense' letter about refusal of payments to families of the deceased.

Russian propagandists sent a fake letter from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine into the network, attempting to portray the Ukrainian military leadership in a negative light, indicating a refusal to pay compensation to the families of the deceased soldiers. However, the Center for Counteracting Disinformation confirmed that the letter is fake and aimed at damaging the reputation of Ukrainian military.
«This fake is part of a large-scale Russian disinformation campaign around repatriation measures, aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian leadership and creating distrust towards it», - emphasized the CCD.
Fabricated stories and comments to discredit Ukraine
Russian propagandists are also actively spreading fabricated stories and comments aimed at creating a negative perception of Ukraine in the world. Their goal is to sow doubt in the country's governing structures and in the Ukrainian society as a whole.
It is important for Ukrainians to be vigilant about potential disinformation and attempts to discredit government institutions, particularly in the defense sector. It is essential to carefully verify information sources and only disseminate credible facts.
The Ukrainian society needs awareness and caution in the context of spreading disinformation to protect itself from manipulation and to preserve the truthfulness of information.
