Russian troops are trying to change their combat tactics on the front – ISW.

Russian troops are changing tactics near Pokrovsk
Experts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) report that Russian troops are regrouping after unsuccessful attempts to advance towards Kostiantynivka in the Pokrovsk direction and are now turning their attention to the northeast of Pokrovsk. Geolocation data from video recordings confirm these movements.
"The strategic maneuver of the troops involves creating a salient that could pose a threat to Ukrainian forces. This change in tactics came after unsuccessful attempts at other movements and could help the occupiers gain an advantage in the struggle for territory control," the report states.
Data on Russian military losses released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine indicate the continuation of active hostilities in the east of the country.
Ukrainian experts emphasize that the change in Russian military priorities indicates their intention to initiate new strategic actions in the region. This may affect the development of the conflict in Donbas and will require Ukrainian forces to adopt new measures to protect the territorial integrity of the country.
Reports of changes in the tactics of Russian troops along the Pokrovsk direction and their new strategy in the northeast of Pokrovsk indicate an unstable situation in eastern Ukraine and the possibility of further escalation of the conflict in Donbas. Ukrainian military remains on guard for national security, ready for any challenges that may arise from new enemy actions.Read also
