Rubio, Vance, and Walz on the Prospects of Ending the War after Signing an Economic Agreement.

The US and Ukraine have signed an agreement to create an American-Ukrainian Investment Reconstruction Fund, which, according to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, will be a step towards ending the war initiated by Russia.
“The agreement is an important milestone in our shared prosperity and an important step towards ending this war,” said Marco Rubio.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the agreement with Ukraine is a full-fledged economic partnership. He believes that such a partnership will allow President Trump to negotiate with Russia on a stronger basis.
“This shows that there are no differences in the goals between the Ukrainian and American peoples, and the American people will not make money if the Ukrainians do not prosper,” noted Scott Bessent.
According to a representative of the Trump administration, the agreement concerns not only rare earth metals but also infrastructure and energy. This creates an opportunity for both sides to gain real benefits.
US Vice President Mike Pence stated that there is a significant gap between Ukraine and Russia regarding the vision of ending the war. He emphasized that the first step towards resolving the conflict is a peaceful proposal from both sides.
“The Ukrainians said: 'Here is what we want.' The Russians said: 'Here is what we want.' And now it is a matter of diplomacy to try to bring these two sides closer together,” Mike Pence stated.
US National Security Advisor John Bolton confirmed that negotiations regarding Ukraine are progressing, and the US believes that a peace agreement may be possible.
The Trump administration has also proposed a 'final offer' for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Paris. However, the media indicate that among the conditions for the release of military products is the recognition by Russia of control over Crimea and the easing of sanctions against it.
It is also reported that 72 members of the US Senate are ready to vote for a bill that provides for new sanctions against Russia and large tariffs on countries that purchase Russian energy resources if President Putin does not agree to end the war.
Ukraine received a proposal from the US regarding territories during negotiations in London, but later new proposals emerged. The documents submitted to the American side were published by Reuters.
Additionally, confirmation regarding the sale of military products to Ukraine has appeared in the documentation of the US Congress. This is the first such case under the new Trump administration.
