On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal officially submitted a resignation letter from the position of head of government. He published the document expressing his desire to leave the post on social media.

He announced this on Telegram.

Heartfelt gratitude from Shmyhal

Shmyhal expressed heartfelt gratitude to the defenders of Ukraine who hold the front and ensure the security of the state. He also thanked President Volodymyr Zelensky for his trust and support during his tenure.

'Thank you to the entire team for their tireless work for the benefit of our state! Glory to Ukraine!' — the Prime Minister emphasized in his address.

We remind you that on July 14, Volodymyr Zelensky invited Yulia Svyrydenko to head the government of Ukraine and to carry out a complete renewal of it. The President of Ukraine expects to receive a program of action from the new Cabinet of Ministers in the near future, which will define the further course of the country's development.

At the same Time, Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak emphasized the key transformations being prepared in the government of Ukraine. The dismissal of some ministers is foreseen, as well as possible consolidation of certain positions to increase the effectiveness of the executive power.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal resigned, expressing gratitude for the support and announcing the new government's intentions regarding reforms and the renewal of the executive power's activities.
