The USA set a deadline regarding Ukraine: may refuse peace efforts.

Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, stated that the United States will continue peace negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine for only a few days, after which they will move on. This was reported by BBC.
After a meeting with European partners in Paris, Rubio emphasized the position of the Trump administration: the US will abandon peace efforts if progress is not achieved in the coming days.
'We need to figure out here and now, within a few days, whether this (peace agreement) is possible in the short term, because if it's not, I think we will just move on,'
Rubio stressed.
Rubio explained that President Trump is interested in achieving peace, but the US wants to see concrete signs of the possibility of an agreement being reached. If their efforts are not successful, Americans will inform that negotiations are no longer an option.
There was also a phone conversation between Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Rubio informed his Russian counterpart about President Trump and the US's desire to end the war and outline the contours of stable and long-term peace.
Just on Thursday, the US delegation held talks with European and Ukrainian colleagues in Paris. They announced their intention to cease hostilities in Ukraine within the coming weeks and agreed to enhance coordination to achieve this goal.
Donald Trump also stated that a ceasefire is approaching, and Moscow must respond to his proposal. He also accused Vladimir Putin, Volodymyr Zelensky, and Joe Biden of the war, believing that they did not do enough to avoid it.
