US President Donald Trump held phone conversations with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban after his victory in the presidential elections. During the conversation, Trump asked Orban about his position on the war in Ukraine.
Orban, who has strong ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin and is negative towards European support for Ukraine, may play a crucial role in future peace negotiations.
In December, Orban plans to undertake diplomatic trips as part of his 'peacekeeping mission'. This may provide an opportunity to convey messages between the leaders of the US, Ukraine, Russia, and China.
Trump previously stated his ability to end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours after inauguration and has already appointed Keith Kellogg as the official representative for war issues in Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared his views on Trump and his team.
