Biden spoke about Ukraine's accession to NATO.

The discussion among NATO members regarding the possible invitation of Ukraine to the Alliance continues, stated a representative of the US President Joe Biden's administration. According to the official, there is no consensus on this issue yet, but at the NATO summit last July, it was confirmed that Ukraine is on the path to membership. Now the main thing is to find a strategy that encourages Ukraine and achieves consensus on the next steps.
President Biden wants to put Ukraine in a position of strength and provide it with the necessary assistance. However, cooperation with partners and allies is necessary for this. In this context, he called for a meeting at the level of leaders of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, which may take place in November.
A White House representative noted that it is extremely important for Ukraine to be able to train new brigades for the front through the new NATO mission “NATO Support and Training Assistance for Ukraine.” This mission is to coordinate the training, equipping, force development, and logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is located in Wiesbaden and is very important for providing Ukraine with the necessary support in the fight against aggression.
