A Day of Mourning Announced in Sumy.


A Day of Mourning has been declared in Sumy on June 4 due to the occupants' strike on the city. This was reported by 'Glavcom' with reference to the head of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.
The Russian Federation does not stop its strikes on cities and villages of Ukraine. Thus, the occupying forces struck Sumy with rocket artillery. According to President Zelensky, at least one shell failed to detonate.
Russian troops attacked the center of Sumy on the morning of June 3. Three people died, and 16 were injured, including a 17-year-old child. There are also people in serious condition being taken to medical facilities in the regional center.
As a result of the shelling, a strike hit the road surface in one of the city districts, causing a car to catch fire. The fire was swiftly extinguished. Apartment buildings, three private houses, a storage building, a garage, four cars, and one of the hospital buildings were also damaged.
The Institute for the Study of War believes that Russian forces are intensifying their efforts to expand the front line in the northern Sumy region along three directions of advance to the north and northeast of Sumy.
According to DeepState information, the Russian army seized the settlement of Volodymyrivka in the Sumy region. Earlier reports also indicated the advance of Russian troops in other areas of the region. It is essential to closely monitor the situation and respond to developments at the local level.
