Ukraine has introduced new age limits for drivers: who will not be able to get behind the wheel.

In Ukraine, specific rules have been established regarding who can drive various types of transportation and at what age.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized the importance of these restrictions for road safety.
According to the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, these restrictions help reduce accidents and ensure the safety of all road users. Many countries also apply similar rules.
At the age of 16, one can obtain a license for motorcycles and scooters (categories "A" and "A1"). However, the theory exam can only be taken at 18, although learning is allowed earlier.
At 18, more opportunities open up. One can drive passenger cars (category "B"), small trucks up to 7.5 tons (category "C"), and ATVs.
From the age of 19, it is allowed to drive vehicles with heavy trailers. This applies to passenger cars with trailers over 750 kg (category "BE") and trucks with trailers (category "CE").
The highest age requirement is for driving buses and minibuses – 21 years. This is category "D" for transport with more than 8 passengers.
These rules ensure that drivers are mature and responsible, better dealing with complex road situations.
It is also worth noting that Ukrainians were reminded of the fines for driving while intoxicated.
