Ukrainian drones halted UAV production at the 'Kupol' factory in Izhevsk: photos.


As a result of the strike by Ukrainian drones on the Izhevsk 'Kupol' factory, four workshops involved in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were damaged, leading to a complete shutdown of the enterprise. This information was reported by the Telegram channel ASTRA, citing sources in the region's emergency services.
As a result of the strike, one drone hit the window of workshop 106, while another struck the roof of workshop 110 and exploded, causing the roof to collapse over an area of 1300 square meters due to the fire. The damaged workshops produce metalworking, chip soldering, and ready-to-use UAVs. At the Time of the strike, the factory was operating around the clock in three shifts; three workers were killed and another 45 were injured, of which 35 were hospitalized.

Satellite images from Planet Labs confirmed the scale of the damage - part of the roof of one of the military factory's buildings was completely destroyed. The distance from Ukraine to the site is over 1300 kilometers.
The 'Kupol' factory is included in the sanctions lists of the European Union, the USA, Canada, Ukraine, and Switzerland. It is one of the largest enterprises in the defense industry complex of Russia, established in 1957. The factory produces the Tor-M2E anti-aircraft missile system, training systems 'Saman-M1' and 'Adjutant.' After the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in July 2023, the factory started producing the 'Garpia-A1' drones using components from China.
