Ukrainian soldiers surrounded in Kursk? The CPD made a statement.

Russian public channels have posted videos where Ukrainian soldiers claim that they have found themselves surrounded by Russia in the Kursk region. The Center for Counteracting Disinformation has refuted this hostile propaganda.
According to the Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CPD), this information has been fabricated. There is no encirclement of Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk.
This has already been reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The videos were created using deepfake technology. The CPD explains that it is easy to notice by the unnatural movements of lips and facial expressions, artificial features of the face, and distorted pronunciation.
It is worth noting that the information spread by Volodymyr Putin about a large-scale offensive of the occupiers from the Kursk region is false.
As Kovalenko stated, the Russian reconnaissance and sabotage group attempted to break into Ukrainian territory in Kursk but was destroyed.
