A cold anticyclone will cover Ukraine: the forecaster warned about frost and strong winds.


This weekend, Ukrainians can expect cold but sunny weather with temperatures around zero. According to forecaster Natalka Didenko, a powerful anticyclone will dominate over Ukraine in the coming days, leading to increased atmospheric pressure and almost no precipitation.
The forecaster warns that overnight and on the eve of Sunday, the air temperature will drop to -4-10 degrees. Throughout the day on February 8 and 9, temperatures are expected to be around zero, but the eastern regions will experience harsher weather conditions with temperatures ranging from -1 to -4 degrees.
The wind will be moderate, coming from the eastern direction, but in the south, in the Sea of Azov region, as well as in Volyn and Rivne regions, storm gusts of 15-20 meters per second are expected.
In Kyiv, an anticyclone is expected with no precipitation and sunny weather. At night, the temperature will decrease to -7-10 degrees, and during the day, it will fluctuate between 0-2 degrees below zero.
Next week, no significant changes in the weather are expected: the anticyclone will continue, with no precipitation, frosty nights, and cool days, but most of the Time it will be sunny.
Citizens are advised to be cautious and dress warmly when going outside, especially considering possible storm gusts of wind and low temperatures.
