Defense Minister Rustem Umjerow emphasized that the 'Ramstein' format is important for Ukraine and hopes for the support of the government of Donald Trump.

I just finished a phone call with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. The 'Ramstein' format is very important for us. It is held online/offline every month. We want it to continue... We discussed it with him. We asked them to discuss it, even with the new Defense Secretary. I will also write a letter that this is important for us,' he said at the annual meeting of the European Business Association (EBA) in Kyiv, reported 'Interfax-Ukraine'.

Umjerow emphasized that the talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and elected US President Donald Trump have been successful. The Defense Minister emphasized the importance of the principle of 'Peace through Strength', which should be maintained.

'To be strong, we must continue the support. We see that we are preparing for it now. We also briefed President Trump on our victory plan. That is why I hope for continued support,' said Umjerow.
