The government has changed the categories of students and teachers who will not be mobilized.


The government of Ukraine has approved changes to legislation that expand the categories of students and teachers who receive a deferment from mobilization. This information was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the permanent representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
According to preliminary information, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved a draft law 'On amendments to Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine 'On mobilization preparation and mobilization' regarding the rights of pedagogical workers and students.
According to the changes, students of vocational and higher education institutions, students of higher educational institutions, graduate students, and young doctors - interns, and resident doctors will receive a deferment from mobilization. In addition, scientific, scientific-pedagogical, and pedagogical workers, as well as teachers of general and vocational higher education will not be subjected to mobilization.
The changes also affect employees of state and municipal extracurricular education institutions who work at their main job for at least 0.75 of a position.
It is noted that there are exceptions for full-Time students who may be mobilized for legitimate reasons.
The Ministry of Defense also named the most popular specialties in recruitment centers. There was particular popularity among candidates for fields related to unmanned aerial vehicles.
