Unemployment benefits and compensation for employers have increased in Ukraine: what has changed since January 1.

Updated sizes of social payments in 2025
Since the beginning of 2025, updated sizes of social payments and compensations, coordinated by the State Employment Service, have come into effect in Ukraine. According to the new rules, the maximum amount of unemployment benefits is 8000 hryvnias.
The compensation program for employers for creating jobs for people with disabilities has also undergone significant changes. In particular, for the employment of persons with the first group of disability, entrepreneurs can receive up to 120,000 hryvnias in compensation, which is equivalent to 15 minimum wages. For persons with the second group of disability, compensation of up to 80,000 hryvnias (10 minimum wages) is provided.
According to the results of last year, the program showed significant results. 'Thanks to state support, in 2024, it was possible to employ 2000 people with disabilities of the first and second groups. 130 million hryvnias were allocated for employer compensations', - reports the State Employment Service.
The updated support system has a dual purpose: to help the unemployed adapt to new conditions, obtain the opportunity for retraining, and find work, as well as to encourage employers to create new jobs for people with disabilities and veterans.
Previously, an application was launched in Ukraine for job searching with many convenient features.
