Starting today, Ukrainians can possess trophy weapons: what you need to know.

Today, a new Law of Ukraine 'On ensuring citizens' participation in the defense of Ukraine' has come into effect, simplifying the procedure for obtaining, declaring, and owning firearms. This was reported by the National Police.
The adoption of this balanced Law creates a legislative framework so that individuals are not held liable for illegal possession of weapons, as well as strengthening the control system over the circulation of weapons.
'If you discover firearms and ammunition for them, you must immediately declare them. This can be done at the units of the National Police,' law enforcement officials said.
How to declare found weapons?
The National Police explained how people who have found firearms should proceed.
Recall that the Verkhovna Rada adopted bill No. 9538, which grants citizens the right to possess and use firearms and ammunition received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs for protection against armed aggression from the Russian Federation.
By the way, the 'Diia' program will include the ability to obtain and renew permits for weapon possession.
