Military observer explained why the enemy is concentrating efforts on capturing Toretsk.

The Russian army may continue its advance towards Kostyantynivka if it captures Toretsk in the Donetsk region, reports military observer Denys Popovych. He noted that if the Russians break through to Chasiv Yar and capture this city, their main target will be Kostyantynivka. However, capturing Toretsk threatens the agglomeration of Kostyantynivka, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk. It is important to note that the situation in Toretsk is not related to the Russian advance on Pokrovsk. Popovych emphasized that Toretsk is located beyond the front line which threatens Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. However, if the enemy develops an offensive towards Toretsk, it may affect the pace of advancement on other sections of the front, including Pokrovsk. Currently, these reflections are hypothetical.
