Drivers warned about raids on roads: what documents are needed and what they can ask about.

Increased control over the activities of passenger transport drivers
The State Transport Security Service of Ukraine (DSTU) has announced increased control over the activities of passenger transport drivers during raid checks. Inspectors perform comprehensive checks of the necessary documents and compliance with established requirements.
When conducting internal passenger transportation, drivers must carry a complete set of documents, including a driver's license, registration documents for the vehicle, a copy of the service contract with the customer, a route passport, and a technical inspection protocol of the bus.
For routes of up to 50 kilometers, drivers must have an individual control book, a copy of the driving schedule, a driver's card, or information from the active tachograph. In the case of equipping the vehicle with a digital tachograph, printed information about the work and rest of drivers is required.
For routes over 50 kilometers, the requirements are even stricter. Drivers must have a driver's card, information from the certified tachograph, or a confirmation of activity form. When using a digital tachograph, printed information about the mode of operation is mandatory.
Inspectors also check compliance with the approved schedule and route, the work and rest regime, the existence of a compulsory civil liability insurance contract, and the availability of a fire extinguisher in the vehicle.
The bus cabin must be informatively equipped, containing extracts from the rules for providing passenger transport services, information about the rights and obligations of the driver and the passenger, as well as markings for entry and exit, details about the fine for riding without a ticket.
On urban and suburban routes, there must be signs 'No Smoking' and 'Place for Passengers with Children and Persons with Disabilities' with duplication by the international accessibility symbol. For intercity and international transports, seat numbering is mandatory.
Drivers must have the appropriate license and comply with all orders to eliminate violations of Ukraine's legislation on road transport.
Also, we remind you that traffic has been restricted for some vehicles in Kyiv: drivers were told the reasons.
Control over the activities of passenger transport drivers in Ukraine has been strengthened due to raid checks, where checks for the presence of necessary documents and compliance with established requirements occur. Inspectors, in particular, check for the necessary documents of drivers, compliance with the schedule and route, as well as the equipping of buses with fire extinguishers and other necessary inventory. The actions of this service aim to enhance the level of safety and comfort for passengers of public transport.Read also
