The installation of a memorial plaque at the grave of UPA soldiers in Poland has caused a scandal.

A new memorial plaque has been installed on Mount Monastery
It is noted on the mass grave of UPA soldiers that it was Ukrainians who are 'responsible for terror and genocide'. This was reported by 'Glavkom', citing Zlubaczowa.
Who exactly installed the new plaque is unknown. It is likely that its installation was illegal, as Polish law enforcement is already dealing with the matter.
The mass grave of Ukrainians, members of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, responsible for terror and genocide against defenseless Polish, Ukrainian, and Jewish populations. Lord God, have mercy on them and do not punish them for the horrific acts they committed against their brothers. Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, but healing the pain.
The monument to UPA soldiers, which was established in the 1990s at the initiative of Ukraine, has repeatedly suffered damage. In 2015, unknown individuals smashed the plaque with the names of UPA fighters, and the cross on the grave was painted in Polish national colors and the Ukrainian symbols were replaced with Polish ones.
In 2020, the monument was vandalized again: the already damaged memorial plaque was completely smashed, and its fragments were thrown into a pit. After a while, a new, bilingual memorial plaque was installed, without the names of UPA soldiers.
Poland's Minister of Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, called the red-and-black UPA flags on Poland's armored vehicles a provocation.
Earlier, Polish politicians proposed a bill that would criminalize the propaganda of the ideologies of the OUN, UPA, and mentions of Stepan Bandera.
By the way, at 101 years of age, the UPA liaison from Ivano-Frankivsk, the legendary insurgent intelligence officer Angelina Palamar, pseudonym Orysia, passed away.
Analysis
A new memorial plaque has been installed on Mount Monastery, stating that Ukrainians are responsible for terror and genocide. This has caused a reaction in Polish society and among law enforcement agencies, suggesting that the installation of the plaque was illegal. Such an act could deepen tensions between Ukraine and Poland, which has repeatedly condemned UPA's actions. At the same Time, the question arises whether the installation of the new plaque is a manifestation of historical manipulation and provocation.
