Zelensky intends to replace the Ukrainian ambassador to the USA - Media.


The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky plans to replace the Ukrainian ambassador to the USA. The head of state informed the ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, Oksana Markarova, about his intentions to dismiss her.
According to a source in the President's Office, the position of the new ambassador will be decided later after consultations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Although a decision on a specific candidate has not yet been made.
President Zelensky discussed the replacement of Oksana Markarova with the head of the White House, Trump, during their last phone conversation. Among the candidates for the ambassador position in the USA are Denis Shmyhal, Rustem Umerov, Olga Stefanishina, and Herman Halushchenko.
However, Olga Stefanishina assured that no one had discussed her possible appointment to this position. Earlier, Zelensky and Trump discussed replacing the Ukrainian ambassador to the USA during a phone call.
It is also worth mentioning that on July 4, a conversation took place between Zelensky and Trump, during which the situation at the front was discussed.
