Zelensky appointed a series of diplomatic representatives: new ambassadors to the UN, Netherlands and 5 other countries.


Zelensky appointed new ambassadors of Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed new ambassadors of Ukraine in various countries and international organizations.
Andriy Melnyk became the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, while Andriy Kostin headed the diplomatic mission in the Netherlands.
According to the decrees published on the official website of the president, Andriy Melnyk resigned from his position as ambassador to Brazil and is now appointed as Ukraine's representative to the UN. Previously, he was Ukraine's ambassador to Germany. Andriy Kostin, a former attorney general, became the ambassador to the Netherlands and the representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
The president also appointed Oleksandr Nechytaylo as ambassador to China. He previously served as ambassador to Malaysia and worked as an advisor at the Ukrainian embassy in Malaysia, China, and Indonesia.
The president also appointed Roman Horyainov as ambassador to Lebanon, Mykhailo Vydoinyk as ambassador to Finland, Yuriy Klymenko as ambassador to Paraguay, and Oleksiy Havrysh as ambassador to Norway.
Olha Dibrava was relieved of her duties as ambassador to Finland and Iceland, a position she held since 2020.
The ambassador position in Norway had been vacant since 2022, when the previous ambassador, Vyacheslav Yatsyuk, was relieved after six years of service.
