Cheesy Spinach Pie with Filó Dough - Minimal Effort.


Filó Pie with the True Taste of Delight
This pie looks impressive, cooks quickly, and tastes truly delightful. Minimum effort and familiar ingredients — and on the table is a dish that will suit both breakfast and festive tea Time. All you need is filó dough, three types of cheese, spinach, and a bit of imagination.

You will need:
- cottage cheese or ricotta — 200 g;
- brine cheese, feta, or suluguni — 200 g;
- hard cheese — 100 g;
- filó dough — 1 pack (approximately 400 g);
- spinach — 150–200 g;
- egg — 1 pc. (for brushing);
- butter — 50 g;
- black pepper, salt, dried garlic — to taste;
- sesame seeds — for sprinkling.
Cooking Method
Mix in a bowl the cottage cheese, crumbled brine cheese, and grated hard cheese. Add chopped spinach (fresh or previously thawed), season with salt, pepper, and dried garlic.
Melting the butter. Spread a sheet of filó dough on the table, brush with butter. Place a portion of the filling at the edge and roll into a long roll. Repeat with all the sheets.
Form the pie in the shape of a snail — start with one roll.
Wrap spirally in the center of a baking dish (diameter 24 cm), then continue wrapping with the next rolls.
Brush the top with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake at 180 °C for about 30–35 minutes — until golden brown.
