In Cherkasy, two men beat up a 'cyborg' who serves in the TCC.


Detained for assaulting an airport defender
In Cherkasy, two men have been detained for inflicting bodily harm on a defender of Donetsk airport while he was notifying military conscripts. The incident occurred on May 7 when representatives of the Cherkasy TCC and SP stopped two men for checking military registration documents. According to the TCC, one of those stopped began to behave inadequately, and his verbal aggression, together with the other man, escalated into an attack on an official.
After the assault, the perpetrators fled the scene in a car. However, law enforcement quickly located and detained them.
The victim is a serviceman who participated in the defense of Donetsk airport. During the full-scale invasion, he also fought in the reconnaissance unit in the Kharkiv region.
A criminal proceeding has been opened in connection with this incident under part 2 of article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for the intentional infliction of bodily harm or causing minor or moderate bodily injury to an official or a citizen performing a civic duty, related to their official or public activities, as well as committing such actions against their relatives. A pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing.
The offenders have been notified of suspicion and a preventive measure has been chosen. The sanction of the article provides for restriction of liberty for a period of three to five years or imprisonment for the same period.
It is worth noting that in the city of Novyi Rozdil in Lviv region, unknown persons beat a serviceman of the Stryi district territorial center for recruitment and social support. Currently, the victim is in a medical facility. Law enforcement is identifying those involved in the crime. For their actions, the attackers face up to three years of imprisonment.
The events that occurred in Cherkasy and Novyi Rozdil are very alarming and indicate the need to strengthen security measures to protect servicemen who are on the frontlines. National security and the well-being of every citizen of Ukraine is the most important task for the authorities.
