In Vinnytsia, a 17-year-old Odessa resident received five years for arson of the TCC.

The Vinnytsia City Court reported that the Odessa teenager was found guilty of arson of the building of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. This information has been submitted to the court register.
According to the case, the fire occurred in Vinnytsia on July 6, 2024, around 04:00. The fire at the central entrance staircase was quickly extinguished.
A piece of fabric was found at the scene, which had DNA traces, as well as a surveillance camera recording of the suspect. On the same day, the suspect was detained at the hotel where he was temporarily staying.
The young man stated that he received the task via Telegram. He was promised 80,000 UAH for the arson.
The suspect used a T-shirt as an incendiary material and left his DNA at the crime scene. Two witnesses also identified him in the photo and video recording from the surveillance cameras.
During the hearing, the teenager admitted his guilt. He explained that he committed the crime due to difficult life circumstances and for money. He also sincerely repented and asked not to punish him harshly.
The suspect's mother said that she raised him alone and that the family is in difficult financial conditions. The father did not participate in the son's life. The woman currently lives with her partner and children, while her son lives separately and works.
According to the court, the teenager faced up to 15 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment for sabotage in wartime conditions. However, the court took mitigating circumstances into account and sentenced him to five years.
Currently, it is reported that the Security Service and the National Police detained a Russian agent in Odessa. The man was manufacturing homemade explosive devices for terrorist acts ordered by the FSB throughout Ukraine. In the city of Bilyaivka, he was engaged against law enforcement.
Earlier, the Counterintelligence of the Security Service, together with the National Police, prevented another terrorist act in Lviv. During the operation, two enemy agents were detained who were planning to blow up the local district police department building.
Additional context:
This news confirms that crimes commissioned or provoked from abroad even occur in Ukraine. It also shows that some people, even in difficult life circumstances, engage in criminal activities due to promises of money. It is important to support law enforcement agencies in combating such crimes and ensure justice in court proceedings.
