Ukrainian divers won 10 awards at the World Championship.

The successes of Ukrainian athletes at the world and European championships
At the World Junior Championships in finswimming in Chios (Greece), Ukrainian athletes impressed with their achievements, winning 10 medals, including 8 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze. In particular, the women's 4x200 meter relay team composed of athletes Yelyzaveta Hrechykhina, Veronika Vorobyova, Maiia Horenok, and Inna Symonova won gold and set a Ukrainian record among juniors.
“At the championship, we demonstrated our high level of training and readiness to fight for victory. I am glad that we were able to show the true potential of Ukrainian swimming,” comments the team coach.
Moreover, Ukrainian athletes broke several records, including a world record among juniors. However, not only swimmers shone at the international competitions. In the Ukrainian fencing team at the European Championship in Genoa (Italy), Roman Sviichkar and Alina Komashchuk became champions in their categories.
Yet not all news brings joy. Famous Ukrainian fencer Olha Kharlan was left out of the team at the European Championship-2025 due to her absence in training and team preparation.
Ukrainian athletes continue to surprise the world with their successes in international competitions in swimming and fencing, winning medals and setting new records. However, there are always bitter moments in the sports world, as in the case of Olha Kharlan, which underscores the importance of constant training and focus on athletic achievements.
